WELCOME TO SCHOONERS LANDING
Visit a hidden paradise just 10 minutes south of Mendocino village. Pass under the historic Albion Bridge, off Hwy 1, to an unspoiled home to wild things. Each of our campsites is at the edge of the river, offering an unparalleled experience of observing wildlife up close. Seals, herons and egrets abound. At low tide, watch the wading birds feed on crabs and eelgrass. At high tide, schools of herring might pass under your kayak. Explore the ocean at the Albion Cove, or paddle upriver.
We are beginning an extensive restoration project, inviting the native vegetation and creatures back. Watch the transformation, as human impact is minimized and the river is allowed to shape the place.
Our facilities will remain rustic...
Think Camping, not Glamping!
For the 2020 season, there is limited public use.
We invite our restoration partners to join us on a membership basis
This is a wild place.
We are all guests of the River
